Miniature donkeys are native to the Mediterranean islands of Sicily and Sardinia.

They must be 36" or less when measured at the shoulder. The most common color for the miniature donkey is grey dun with a black "cross" running over their shoulders and down their back. Other colors are spotted, brown, black or sorrel.

Male donkeys are called "jacks" and females are called "jennies" or "jennets".

Miniature donkeys are tame, gentle, loyal, playful and very affectionate.

Kasey is a gorgeous grey dun jenny with excellent conformation. She has a great disposition and is easy to handle.

We hope she passes these good traits on to her offspring.

We are happy that "Kasey" and her baby "Kahlua" are going to their new home to become part of the Wagons West Petting Farm. Thanks to Leroy and Debbie Wandler & family of San Clara, MB.

Mary's Donkey
by Pete Graves

A little donkey carried Mary to the stable,
this we know -
ever faithful to his master
on that night so long ago.
Did the donkey choose the stable
where the Christ child would be born,
a place near to nature
away from strife and storm?
Did the cross upon his shoulders
foretell a prophecy
that the Lord would bear a cross one day
up the hill to Calvary?
They say the Lord will return again;
how will he travel on that day?
I, for one, will think of Jesus
when I hear a donkey bray.
